Try This for a Day

I heard this from someone years ago and it made such an impact on me that I think of it often.

Try to see everyone as what they will look like “in heaven” when they are no longer in their body.

No matter what our views of “heaven” are, to me that statement means what we look like as souls and not what we look like in our physical bodies.  So that means no outfits, no hairdo, no cool shoes, no weight issue, no gender, no physical or mental limitations, no race, no money, and no baggage!  To me, we would all look like light-beings, we would all look very much alike and we would all be equal.  Of course, I realize all of this is my personal interpretation.  It helps me so much though, and it’s what I believe.  If we strip it all down – this whole “costume” that we are wearing to live in this physical world – aren’t we all really the same?  (If the “heaven” thing gets in your way, then just try to see everyone as a brand new baby seconds after being born!!!).

Try it for a day and see if it changes your view of the world around you 🙂
